Residential Interiors

With a broad residential portfolio, the focus is on client requirements and ideas, with the ability to be able to work with product and finishes to create innovative design and timeless features which incorporate the client's tastes and interests. This has allowed Kate to widen her scope of work in each project, from colour consultancy and finishes, fittings and fixtures, to room layout, internal structures, kitchen and bathroom design through to exterior surfaces and landscape design - creating an entire design package.

Working closely with the client, structural engineers, architects and landscape architects has enabled our team to co-design complete packages for home owners, which gives the project a creative continuity, vital to good living. Timeless and practical interiors follow good design principals rather than trends.

Waihi - Whangamata House

Perched high above the headlands of Whangamatā, this architecturally designed home reflects its dramatic coastal setting. Moody charcoal tones, cedar, and natural stone finishes create a grounded palette that mirrors the surrounding cliffs and sea. Expansive glazing frames uninterrupted ocean views, blurring the boundary between interior and landscape

Hamilton Central House

Set on the banks of the Waikato River, this home brings together bold, industrial materials with the natural warmth of timber. In-situ concrete walls provide both texture and strength, while cedar interior linings and black oak add to the moody atmosphere. Rejecting conventional white walls and plasterboard, the design creates a deeply atmospheric space that feels both contemporary and timeless.

Mount Maunganui Apartment

In this 2-bedroom apartment, the challenge was to maximize space without compromising on style. Through smart space planning and inventive storage solutions, we created a feeling of openness in every room. Multi-functional furniture and thoughtful design elements allow the space to adapt to both work and relaxation, seamlessly blending form with function.

Horotiu House

Nestled in the heart of the countryside, this sprawling modernist home combines functional design with personal retreat. The use of Hinuera stone, walnut, and travertine, sets the tone for a sophisticated, natural palette.

Separated into private zones, the design caters to both her peaceful sanctuary — a yoga/meditation room, personal library bathed in light and soft neutrals — and his retreat, which features a cigar bar, whiskey cellar, gym and home office, all finished in deep, moody tones and earthy materials.

This carefully curated balance of light and dark, soft and hard allows both partners to enjoy their own private spaces while still being united in the common family zones

Katikati House

Our team were requested to style up this space, offer suggestions of furniture, interior finishes and layout for the kitchen.

We considered every detail when it came to building this dream home, from it’s functionality being completely off-grid to it’s incredible design features including these interior trusses and custom glass windows to utilise this view as much as possible.
